get stuff done!  i just finished two assignments for this class i am taking and it makes me happy!  i only have 3 more days left of spring break~sad face :( but i am determined to suck all of the fun out of them that is possible!  yesterday, nick and i went on two walks…one that was like 2 miles and another quickie.  it is so nice to be able to enjoy the weather in march, not trying to rub it in or anything.  it is just a different way of living, that i love.  tomorrow we are going up to scottsdale to go to an art festival.  nick has really gotten into art, especially since we are looking into decorating our house.  we both love very modern stuff, i have picked out the awesomest (yea, its a word) color scheme for our bedroom.  so, let me first start off by describing the colors of the house…our kitchen will be black impala granite and this is on all the counter space, but also a full backsplash, so all the way up to the bottom of the cherry cabinets.  our flooring is a ceramic tile that is brownish, see cabinets, granite, tile, carpet samplesfor it altogether…soooo i really wanted a bright color to pop off of all of this dark and nick loves green-so in our bedroom, we are going to have our black mirrored dresser, a black satiny bedspread and above the bed will be a beautiful grass-green wall with a huge black fleu de lis on it.  i am so pumped cause in my mind it looks flippin sweet!  i’ve never really been into decorating, but ever since we walked through the model homes, it has bit me.  i just love the combination of the black with the pop of green and blues and yay!  so…that is my idea – so we will be looking for more ideas at the arts festival and it is just nice to get off of our butts and do something.

last sunday allison came into town to stay with us and that was a blast!  we threw a st patricks day party and invited all the teachers and stuff – i think maybe 1/2 actually showed!  but i made jell-o shots for the first time (duhn duhn duuuuuuuhn) and they were bad.  like, call poison control, bad!  nick had 2, i had one, ally had one and i think some really drunk teachers had a few, but they were soooo strong!  i ended up throwing all of the rest away because they weren’t good for anything!  then, i made jungle juice, but forgot to read the kool-aid packets, apparently you need to add sugar to kool-aid!  so, people were supposed to be arriving any minute, thank goodness everyone is always late, so nick, lovely buns, went and got sugar-and it was delicioso!  i had a good time – made some new “friends” ~ its hard to call people friends out here, cause i wouldnt think of calling them with serious issues, i guess that just takes time, but with my other friends, it seemed to be right away, the whole “click” thing…ah, well!  i guess then life happens…

as far as life happening, this next week is gonna be a killer – nick had a second interview for a job here, one he really wants, that would keep him from going back to illinois for 4 months – but he hasn’t heard yet, hopefully soon.  its killing me, every time i think i am set for him to go, emotionally prepared and all, then something comes up that has a glimmer of hope and i fall for it every time – argh!  i have to say this break has been great, dont want it to end, wishing i had some basil right now – not to be too random or anything…so to whoever in the www is reading this – thanks!  to the one person i know will read this religiously, i love you spa!
